In recent days we hear a lot about encryption & decryption whether it is in WhatsApp or in Other Messengers. Eg. WhatsApp is encrypted and fully secure when it comes to safety, your messages with other person is fully confidential without your permission it cannot be leaked or seen by others.    

Encryption and decryption are two processes used to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access. Encryption is the process of converting plain text into an unreadable form called ciphertext, using an algorithm. Decryption is the process of converting ciphertext back into plaintext, which is readable by humans.

In other words, encryption is like putting a message in a safe box and locking it with a key. Only the person who has the key can unlock the box and read the message. Similarly, decryption is like unlocking the safe box with the key to retrieve the message.   

Encryption and decryption are used to protect data confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity. Encryption ensures that only authorized parties can read the message, while decryption ensures that the message is not tampered with during transmission.
