Tata Electronics looks way beyond Apple and wants to create for Xiaomi and Oppo:

In an effort to expand, its client base other than Apple, Tata Electronics is in discussions with Xiaomi as well as Oppo for becoming the manufacturer for their smartphones. The company was also in initial discussion with Vivo but this deal is not likely to materialize, As report, Vivo deal will not happen as those have signed with Dixon.

Tata Electronics that hold expertise in manufacturing plastic parts for home appliances and has been negotiating with the leading Chinese smartphone manufacturers including Xiaomi and Oppo to produce parts for these companies. 

The firm which manufacturers enclosures for iPhone its gradually adopting the Foxconn type of operation and efforts to move up the value chain undertaking manufacturing of components like camera and display modules for the players in the smartphone industry. Dixon has been growing so large so they are gaining more and more selling capacity. For instance when you have grown big, it becomes very difficult to continue applying the same rates. Xiaomi obtained to manufacture earlier they will not get the same price.

Tata Electronics strives to address both the size and complex requirements that are expected from a contract manufacturing industry. The capability achieved during the component manufacturing including cameras and display modules will at the same time boost the operational synergy as well as expand the company technical specialization portpolio.

As in the case of apple, Xiaomi noted again depends mainly on contract manufacturers for assembling the smartphones. Oppo has its manufacturing factory in Noida but they themselves are anticipating some issue as chinese company and they want to team up with Tata Electronics.

Tata electronics has been making no bones about its game plan, the plan was always to be an integrated EMS player and so this was a natural progression to service multiple clients. The fact of being able incorporate to service Apple in some ways has given a lot of inbound interest from other companies.
